That's how we welcome friends in the south =)
I am starting my 3rd year of teaching in Gaston County North Carolina, the wonderful Tar Heel State.
I am happily married to my high school sweet heart. We have been together for almost 10 years and he still gives me butterflies.
Meet my sweet husband Josh Grant. who inspires me! He is a loving husband, and best of all a wonderful daddy. He makes me laugh and keeps life interesting. I don't know what I would do without him.
The biggest blessing in our life is our funny, energetic, outgoing, and smart little boy
Kipton Michael Grant. He entered our lives on January 4th, 2012 and it forever changed us...for the better! Kipton makes me want to be a better person. Every day brings a new adventure, and I am so excited about the memories we are making along this journey. Meet my sweet boy Kipton.
My first year I taught Kindergarten and loved it. All children are precious but there is something special about being their first teacher and seeing how much they grow in one year. My second year I taught second grade, and I loved it! I loved the quality of work that they could produce. I was able to do so many fun things (in an educational way) because they could work independently. So now I am coming up on my third year of teaching and I will be in second grade again and I am beyond excited for this school year. I have a spark and passion that is beaming and I can't wait to see how my teaching career will unfold. My students teach me as much as I teach them and I couldn't imagine myself in any other career.
Some of my favorites:
- Blogging =) (my newest hobby)
- Crafting (I love any DIY project and making new things for my classroom)
- Reading (I'm a sucker for any Nicholas Sparks book)
- Movies (I love all types of movies but a good classic is the best. Some of my favorites are A Summers Place, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, A Splendor in the Grass and of course Gone with the Wind)
- Vacationing (I'd love to move to Disneyworld. I am a HUGE kid at heart)
- Spending time with my family
So now you know all about me. I hope that you will join me on my journey of love, laughter, learning, and all the in-betweens. I can't wait to share my ideas and connect with teachers from all over.
